This is a set of five antique Limoges porcelain two-handled cream soup cup/bowls and their saucers, with each marked on the base undersides with green T & V in a rectangle over "Limoges France.".
Each cup/bowl is 4.75 inches in diameter, and 1.75 inches high. Each saucer is 6.5 inches in diameter.
They are decorated in the art deco motif , with the forked handles in hand-painted gold.
The condition is very good to excellent for their age, with little wear. No cracks, chips or flakes.
TRESSEMANN & VOGT (T&V) started as a company in the porcelain decorating and exporting business during the early 1880s. It did not start manufacturing porcelain until 1891. Limoges is an area in France blessed with the quality of natural clay deposits that go into making the hard paste porcelain.
The green mark "T&V" in the rectangle over “Limoges, France” is an underglaze white ware (manufacturer/firing) mark used by the firm ca. 1892-1907, probably the latter part of this period
